How can you help our monks?

You can choose to sponsor a monk by sending the monastery €:20/- a month.  This small amount of money will enable the monastery to provide him and the other monks at the monastery with their basic needs. Although your contribution will go into the monastery’s general fund so that all the monks will be benefited from your kind support, on account of this monastery will send you an official receipt of your kind donation toward the monastery as a sponsor of particular monk or monastery in general. The Administrative Office of monastery shall regularly corresponding to you on behalf of the monk, informing you about the activities and day to day life of monk in the monastery. Therefore, we don’t allow direct contact with the monk or students, but than your gifts (books, pens, pencils, socks, etc.) will go directly in the name of sponsored monk.

 Approximate expenditure on food and nutrition.

The Monastery provides free food & education to all its members, irrespective of their origin or nationality. The approximate expenditure on a monk at Dhakpo Shedrupling Monastery Rs.1120/- (€: 20/-) per month for food.

The annual expenditure for 140 monks is INR Rs.1881600/-(€: 33600/-) only for food.

The above expenditure is only on food, and medical care, clothing expenditure are not included in it.

You can help the monastery in any of the following ways:
